Our Pastor and leaders of Grace Church Ministries are dedicated to fostering a vibrant community rooted in faith, guiding each member towards spiritual growth, and a deeper relationship with God. Their unwavering commitment and compassionate leadership inspire and empower others to live out their divine purpose.
Pastor Frank Long
Pastor Frank is the Senior Pastor of Grace Church Ministries. A graduate of International Seminary with a bachelor's degree in Theology, he is dedicated to his calling. Pastor Frank is married to his wife, Maria, and they have two sons. The family enjoys fellowshipping with other believers and spending time at the beach. Pastor Frank has a passion for fishing and delving into the Word of God.
His heart is focused on helping church members live disciplined lives as commanded in Matthew 28. He also has a fervent desire to reach those who do not yet know Christ as their personal Savior. Pastor Frank is committed to preaching and teaching the Word of God. He strives to develop, empower, and release others to serve God in the ministries to which they are called.
Deacon Robert Flack
Deacon Robert Flack is head of security and also serves as a Deacon. He grew up in Western New York, attending a Bible-believing church throughout his youth. After joining the Army as an adult, he settled in the area with his family where he completed his active duty. With a thirty-year career working for the Army, Robert experienced a transformative moment during a twenty-one-day fast, freeing him from a lifelong struggle with alcohol. This pivotal event deepened his relationship with God and His Son, Jesus Christ, and inspired him to become the spiritual leader of his household. Driven by a desire to help other men embrace their roles as leaders, Robert was guided by the Holy Spirit to Pastor Frank and Grace Church of Newark, where he actively participates in expanding God's Kingdom.
Deacon Kyle Heard
Deacon Kyle Heard is a Deacon and helps with media. He is a Louisiana native and has six incredible children. He moved to Delaware about five years ago. He devoted himself to Christ four years ago. God drew him and his wife from addiction and set their hearts on fire for God. He has a deep love of God and is on a mission to raise his family up in the Lord, while actively being discipled and a growing member of our community.
Deacon Donnie Sherman
Deacon Donnie Sherman serves as a Deacon, Ushers Ministry Leader and is our Prayer Team Leader. He has a passion for the power of prayer, having experienced firsthand what faith and belief in God can do to move mountains. He loves spending time with his Wife Kim Sherman, two wonderful grandchildren and dog Emma. His hobbies include woodworking and softball.
Kim Long
Kim Long serves as the Treasurer, Secretary and Youth Group Coordinator. She has been saved for forty years and holds degrees in Theology and Psychology from International Seminary and Wilmington University. Kim is passionate about discipling and counseling women, helping them identify their spiritual gifts, and guiding them to fulfill their calling within the local church. She loves studying the Word of God and takes joy in educational opportunities and traveling, especially to the mountains. Kim is an animal and wildlife enthusiast. She has one son and two beautiful granddaughters.
Maria Long
Maria serves as our Children’s Ministry Leader. Maria is a loving and devoted wife to Pastor Frank Long and mother to their son, Levi. Maria also enjoys sewing, family time at the beach and watching The Chosen.
Amelia Dye
Amelia serves as our Women’s Ministry Leader. Amelia grew up in the church and has been saved for over 20 years. She has a B.S. degree in Business Communication and Applied Technology from Drexel University. Her interests/hobbies include sewing, crocheting, traveling, cooking, and the outdoors. Amelia has one grown daughter, Tiffany, a son-in-law, Josh, and a granddaughter, Avery. She also loves animals and is a mother to her two cats, Angel and Ellie.
Amelia teaches teaches a women’s Bible study, and desires to help motivate and empower women spiritually to be all they can be for Christ. She enjoys helping others and likes sharing how God has changed and impacted her life.
Kim Sherman
Kim serves as the Media Ministry Leader and assists her husband Donnie in the Prayer Team Ministry. She has a passion for furthering the kingdom through Media. She also has a passion for God’s Word and spiritual growth. She loves helping others and serving in whatever capacity she is needed. She loves spending time with her Deacon Donnie Sherman, and her grandkids, family, and friends.
