"The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that comes from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit."

1 Corinthians 2:14 NIV

We must understand that people that don't have Christ in their life don't understand spiritual things because they don't have the Holy Spirit.

So when they reject the things of God, it's because it is like a foreign language to them.

But I would go a step further that even people who are saved shun, what the holy spirit says so they can believe what they want to believe instead of believing the truth.

Praise God for those who have the Holy Spirit, but it doesn't do any good if you don't listen to what He says or do what He instructs.
